≡ «همیشه در حرکت: سفرهای عکاسانه»
واژه سفر دربردارنده گستره ای از تفاوت های ظریف است. شخص می تواند بعنوان یک گردشگر و یا مسافر و به صورت جسمی از جایی به جای دیگر سفر کند. همینطور فرد می تواند با اراده خود و یا به صورت اجباری مهاجرت کند. همینطور سفر می تواند در ساحتی استعاری نیز اتفاق بیفتند. اندیشه ها و تخیلات بواسطه مکان ها، فضا ها و زمان ها، در خواب نیمروز یا در حال مطالعه سفر می کنند و ذهن و جسم، در زمان خواب، رویا و یا مرگ، به ساحتی دیگر از «بودن» تبدیل می شوند.
≡ شرایط اصلی:
■ شرکت کنندگان باید مقیم یکی از شهرهای وین، بولونیا، شیراز و تهران باشند.
■ تمام آثاری که به نمایش درخواهد آمد باید دارای سایزی قابل سفر و جا به جایی باشد.

#opencall FOR THE EXHIBITION STILL IN MOTION: PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEYS
#traveling encompasses a variety of nuances. One can move physically from one place to another as a #tourist or #traveller, but people also migrate for personal reasons or are forced to flee. Yet, #journeys can also happen on a metaphorical plane. Thoughts and imaginations are on a voyage through places, spaces and times, while #daydreaming or reading a book. And mind and body are #wandering and getting transformed to another state of being, when #sleeping, #dreaming or #dying.
For all that, each travel inherits the potential to create a visual outcome, as Ibn Battuta wrote „Travelling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.“ #photographs are silent on an audible layer and void of movement, but at the same time possess the ability to narrate and depict tales of voyages. #cameras are popular travel companions, and also photographs themselves, due to their minimal weight and reproductive character, travel with ease.
These aspects turn photographs into #nomadic #storytellers. The photograph as an object can move without difficulty from one place to another, while it’s still surface is showing lasting traces of voyages of the past.
The group show STILL IN MOTION: PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEYS will be curated by Agnes Rameder (Vienna), #houtannourian (Bologna), Saeedeh Setayesh (Shiraz), and Sahar Samadian (Tehran). The exhibition will be traveling from Viennato Bologna to Tehran andShiraz in autumn and winter 2021/22. Thereby the showturns ito an embodiment forge topic.
For this exhibition we are looking for various stories of different kinds of journeys from artists, who are based in Vienna, Bologna, Shiraz and Tehran. All exhibited artworks should be in a travel-friendly size and should engage with (but not only) the following questions: How do photography and travel relate to each other? How do artists visualize physical and mental journeys? How can a journey, that naturally involves movement, be depicted motionless?
